MS Youth Sports does not require, but encourages all teams to have cheereladers. The age range is from 6 years old to 12 years old. Teams may break squads up into A,B, and C teams if they desire, but it not mandantory. 
MS Youth Sports sponsors a cheerleading competition at the beginning of the playoffs.
All squads are asked to compete and are judged in various categories. Points are tallied and a runner up and champion are awarded trophies. A cheerleader MVP is also crowned at the end of the competition.
